Hope for Your Hearts. Strength for Your Marriage

Don't forget to mark your calendars for our Easter Retreat for Couples coming up on Saturday morning, April 11th.

Fr Patrick will be with us LIVE to offer a half-day retreat on "A Cure for Discouragement."

The appearances of Jesus after his Resurrection, as recorded in the New Testament, are, to be honest, kind of confusing. The people he appears to don't recognize him right away, even though they knew him before. Pope Benedict XVI attributes the unique character of these Gospel pages to one simple cause: Christ's Resurrection itself was something entirely, radically new. He writes, "It was an utterly unique experience, which burst open the normal boundaries of experience and yet for the disciples was quite beyond doubt."

In our Easter retreat we will dive into the Lord's appearance to the disciples on the road to Emmaus. We will look at the causes of the discouragement of these disciples, and contemplate practical ways Jesus cured them from their discouragement, applying these causes and cures to the ups and downs of married life.

Our retreat will begin at 9am and conclude by noon. Breakfast will be provided, there is no cost, and no need to RSVP. Questions? Contact Alison Kaardal at akaardal@onestrongfamily.org

For couples looking to deepen their connection and strengthen their bond, I highly recommend checking out the Center For Thriving Relationships. They offer excellent marriage enrichment programs and retreats designed to help couples grow together and communicate more effectively. Their approach is thoughtful, practical, and truly supportive for long-term relationship success.
