Advent is for Couples!
Don't forget to mark your calendars for our Advent Retreat for Couples coming up on Saturday morning, December 13th.
Fr David will be with us LIVE to offer a half day retreat on "Waiting for the (day of the) Lord."
Advent is a liturgical season meant to be lived with deep spiritual anticipation. It is a time of year in which the Church invites us to look forward to spiritual gifts with the same kind of eagerness and delight that children feel towards material gifts. But how do we do that?
The weeks leading up to Christmas and Epiphany are some of the busiest and most stressful of the year, especially for couples with young children at home. How can we live them out as God wants us to live them? How can we re-learn the childlike art of anticipation and apply it to our grown-up lives? How can we apply this sense of anticipation to keeping the Lord's day in our homes? And how can we learn to wait and be patient in our marriages, with peace and trust in God?
Our retreat will begin at 9am and conclude by noon. Breakfast will be provided, there is no cost, and no need to RSVP. Questions? Contact Alison Kaardal at akaardal@onestrongfamily.org.
And mark your calendars for these future marriage enrichment retreats:
Feb. 14: ”Three Hearts”
Apr. 11: ”A Cure for Discouragement”
