Neighborhood Outreach Ministry
Updated: Feb 9, 2021
St. Mark's is starting an outreach effort to support our local community during these difficult times, particularly the homebound and those experiencing isolation and anxiety. There are many ways that you can be a part of it:
Volunteer to write letters, or send cards/drawings from children.
Commit to making regular phone calls to check in on a homebound parishioner or those in a nursing home (at least monthly).
Be a prayer warrior and pray (at least) a decade of the rosary daily for the members of the two nursing homes we serve. They must be without any COVID cases for 28 days before they can receive the sacraments. We have not been able to visit since March.
If you know someone (do not need to live in the neighborhood) who is feeling isolated let us know and we will gladly reach out to them. Please sign up to assist with this effort by visiting onestrongfamily.org/outreach.
