On January 1, the Catholic Church observes the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God. This is typically a Holy Day of Obligation, though the ongoing suspension of the Sunday obligation in this Archdiocese applies to such Holy Days as well.
Those who are able to make it are still encouraged to attend! Mass will be held for Mary, Mother of God at 5:30 PM on Thursday, December 31 (vigil Mass) and on January 1 at 9 AM. There will be no other Mass offered on January 1. If you cannot attend in-person, we encourage you to participate remotely. We will live-stream the January 1 Mass.
